Well, so much for a few minutes later…… Anyways, this recipe is sooo good! I have made it for various social events and everyone always loves it! Kasey (one of my many sisters) says this is her favorite recipe, and why not it is moist and chocolate!!! 🙂 Make it for Christmas, New Years, or whatever! You won’t be sorry! This is from taste of home:http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/buttermilk-chocolate-bread.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of butter or margarine, softened
1 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup of baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup of buttermilk
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs, one are a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder and baking soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Pour into a greased 9″by 5″ by 3″ loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan to a wire wrack.
Yields: 1 loaf
