Okay everyone, this week I made it my goal to eat oatmeal every single day! I did pretty well. I tried many different ways of preparing it, and I discovered that there are so many wonderful twists you can put on oats. My family (save one sister who was brave enough to try it with me) thought I was officially crazy. None of them really like oatmeal unless it is done “just right” or instant. After I finished the week I decided to push my experiment out for another week. So, get ready for another oatmeal recipe soon! This one was my favorite of the ones I tried. I got it off of a blog I just found last week . You should go check it out! Jess has wonderful recipes and a beautiful story of overcoming! Visit her site here.
Original Recipe from Sprinkles and Sugarplums:
Cocoa Banana Oatmeal
For Oatmeal:

a little more than 1/2 Tbsp cacao or cocoa powder*
1 tsp peanut butter
To top:
1/2 banana
sprinkle of hemp seeds
1 Tbsp peanut butter
Please give this a try and join me on my oatmeal quest! Any suggestions for more recipes to try out this coming week? If you have any recipes or a site for ideas that you want to share, link them up in the comments!
Enjoy!

That sounds like a good goal for being healthy, Kloe! I actually like oatmeal, but have never eaten it any other way except plain. This recipe sounds so good. I love the addition of peanut butter and cocoa. It almost sounds like a dessert. Good luck with your goal. I look forward to seeing the other ways you fix it.
It is so good with the peanut butter and cocoa! You should give it a try! I also like eating it plain, but I figured if I ate it that way everyday for two weeks it would get old. Thanks for the encouragement. I am looking forward to another week of experimenting!

Thanks for the ping back!!!
In addition to the recipes on my own blog, I enjoy scrolling through the dozens on theoatmealartist.com. Oatmeal is extremely versatile, and you will never run out of possibilities! Enjoy!
Thanks for the link! I will go check it out. 🙂 Have a blessed Sunday!
You have a great blog here, Kloe! Your bread recipes especially look amazing, and easy too 🙂
Thank you so much! I am glad you like it here. I do have a weak spot for bread. It tastes so much better homemade than store bought. I loved your blog too! 🙂
Thanks kloe!
Happy Fiesta Friday #20, Kloe! 🙂
Thanks, Fae! To you too! 🙂
I love oatmeal (GF oats for this celiac)! I actually just tried out hemp milk for the first time this week and loved it, so I might need to check out these hemp seeds that you mentioned. 🙂
I am glad you like it! It was so good I made it twice this week. Let me know how you like it with t he seeds. Thanks for stopping in, Kaila! ♥
I love oatmeal, this recipe looks delicious! Thanks for sharing it at Fiesta Friday! 🙂
Yay! Oatmeal lovers! I am glad you like it! If you give it a try I am positive you wouldn’t be disappointed. 🙂
Yay! Im so glad you liked the recipe! 😉
I sure did! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. Have a blessed Sunday, Jess!
What a good idea to have an oatmeal week! It’s been a while since I’ve had a bowl, although I do regularly make some for my children. They like it with a dab of butter in the middle and a sprinkle of raw sugar 🙂
Yum! That sounds yummy. Maybe I ought to give that a try this week. 🙂 Glad you enjoyed my post!
Hi Kloe, what a week you will have playing with different recipes. I make overnight oats (recipes are everywhere online if you want to google them), topped with fresh summer fruits and nuts and seeds. I didn’t realize I would enjoy it so much, but I do. Overnight oats are really easy and they are a great on-the-go breakfast for me. Hope you get to try it sometime. xx
Good for you, Kloe! What a fun idea!
Thanks, I have really been enjoying it!
I should be eating oatmeal everyday, too–it sounds really good this way!
I love putting a lot of different fruits in it and adding different stir-ins, like honey or nut butters 🙂
Sounds so healthy…I will give a try kloe.. Thanks a lot 🙂
Yay! Good luck to you! 🙂
Kloe,
My spouse eats oatmeal every weekday. I’ve been meaning to try the overnight soaked oats I saw on Gourmet Veggie Mama, because cold oats appeal to me this summer.
Thanks!
I tried the overnight oatmeal and it was really good! I added some fresh strawberries to it to give it some seasonal flavor. 🙂 Thanks so much for stopping in, Kirsten! 🙂
Ohhhhh YUM I just read the ingredients list for the oatmeal and it made me want some, what a great way to start the day too, thanks so much for sharing!
My pleasure! I am so glad that you like it. 🙂 It is a perfect way to start you day!
This maybe is my favorite combo of oatmeal, Kloe. 😀 Nothing can go wrong with bananas and cacao/cocoa powder together. I might need to make myself an oatmeal for weekend’s breakfast. 🙂
